Texting, at cost
Your texts go through Twilio on your own registered number. You pay what Twilio charges for each piece, line by line:

AI, by the token
The lead assistant, Ask and Write With Ask run on Claude. A token is a few letters of text; every reply and every question is counted.

- No, the plan is month to month. Cancel from the billing portal and sending and syncing stop at the end of the month; your data is kept, never deleted for a lapsed payment.
- What does texting cost?
- Texting is billed at cost: what Twilio charges for each text segment and picture message, your phone number, and your carrier registration fees, itemized on your invoice.
- How is AI billed?
- AI is billed by the token at $2.50 per million input tokens and $12.50 per million output tokens. Every reply the assistant drafts and every question you ask it is counted, and the usage page shows what each one cost.
- Can I turn the assistant off?
- Yes. With the assistant off, there is no AI usage on your bill, and the inbox, quote pages, mass texts and dashboards all keep working.
