Four sign-ins, then it works the night shift
Setup takes about half an hour of your time. After that, leads are answered with your prices, quotes land in Jobber, and you see the numbers that matter each morning.
Setup
- 1
Connect Jobber
Sign in to Jobber and press Allow. Your clients, jobs, visits, invoices and Products & Services come across, and your prices become the assistant's prices.
- 2
Register your texting
Fill in your business details once and we register your brand and campaigns with the carriers, then buy your number. Service texts and offers are registered separately, the way carriers require.
- 3
Connect Facebook and Google
Sign in, press Allow, and pick your Page, ad accounts, Analytics property and Search Console site from a list. Lead forms start arriving in your inbox.
- 4
Set your words
Your business name, office hours, who answers hand-offs, your quote introduction and what every visit includes. The assistant never claims anything you have not told it.
A day with it running
What the assistant, the inbox and the dashboards do between your first coffee and your last text.
6:52 AM
Last night's numbers are in
Jobber synced overnight. The dashboard says which clients lapsed, what is overdue and how the crew did yesterday.
11:30 AM
A Facebook lead form comes in
It asked how many dogs and how often, so the lead gets a priced quote by text in under a minute, with your photo.
3:05 PM
Tomorrow's route gets a heads-up
One mass text to everyone on tomorrow's visits, with their day and their technician's name filled in.
10:14 PM
A website lead asks about price
The assistant answers with your rate, sends the quote page, and takes the yes. The quote is in Jobber before you wake up.
10:21 PM
Someone asks about a kennel
Commercial work is yours to price, so the assistant says the office will answer in the morning and buzzes your phone.
What it will never do
Make up a price
Every price comes from your Jobber rate card. With no price to give, it hands the lead to you.
Text someone who said stop
STOP, do-not-contact and carrier-rejected numbers are checked before every single send.
Claim what you do not do
It only says what you list as true about your service, and never that anything is killed or sanitized.
Pressure a customer
No fake scarcity, no countdowns, and one gracious reply when someone says no thanks.
Questions
- How long does setup take?
- Setup takes about half an hour of your time: the sign-ins take minutes, and the texting registration form takes the longest. Carrier approval of your texting campaigns then takes a few days, and texting switches on when it is approved.
- What happens when the assistant does not know an answer?
- It hands the conversation to your office, texts the lead a short holding message, and alerts your phone. Complaints, billing, commercial work, big yards and anything it is unsure of always go to a person.
- Can I read and change what it sends?
- Yes. Start in draft mode, where every reply waits for you to send, edit or dismiss, and switch it to send on its own when you trust it. Every message it sends is in the thread.
- Does it text people who opted out?
- No. A STOP ends texts on that number, do-not-contact blocks every channel, carrier-rejected numbers are skipped, and automated texts wait for your sending hours.
